HOT SEAT. The code name used by U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Michael A. Provost, from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Hot Seat could have been a heavyweight contender due to his left jab, quick reflexes and tactical mind. Fearing a lack of job security and the probability of permanent brain damage, he stopped boxing and enlisted in the Army. Hot Seat became skilled with operating various armored vehicles, and was also trained as a drill instructor. He joined the G.I. Joe team to become the primary driver of the Raider fighting vehicle. Hot Seat's first mission was in Sierra Gordo, where he helped a team of Joes, October Guard and Tucaro tribesman in battling Destro's Iron Grenadiers. He next participated in the Battle of Benzheen, driving his Raider among the Joes' armored column. Hot Seat joined the Joes in many other missions before the team was shut down in 1994.
