AMBUSH. The code name used by the G.I. Joe team's concealment specialist, U.S. Army Sergeant Aaron McMahon. McMahon was born in Walnut, California. Ambush is an expert in camoflague and concealment and has distinguished himself in many covert operations. In his first mission as a member of the G.I. Joe team, Ambush was part of the advance recon team that was sent to the Middle East and participated in the Battle of Benzheen in which several Joes lost their lives. Ambush later drove the G.I. Joe Battle Wagon during a mission in Trans-Carpathia. During that mission, the Joes defended Destro and the Baroness against Cobra forces. Following that mission, the Joes Hawk and Lady Jaye were captured by local security police in the Borovian capitol of Grodsnz. Ambush and the remaining Joes drove the Battle Wagon into the city and rescued Hawk and Lady Jaye. Though Ambush continued with the Joe team until it was disbanded in 1994, his subsequent missions remain classified. Ambush was later called back to join the reinstated Joe team in its battle against the forces of a revived Serpentor on Cobra Island. After the remaining Joes stopped a plot by Cobra to unleash the weapon known as the Tempest, and defeated a new threat, the Red Shadows, the military again disbanded the team. One year later, the Joe team was reformed with a smaller roster of active members. Ambush, like most former Joes, is a reserve member of the new team. During the conflict known as World War III, Ambush was stationed in Columbia.
