GUARDIANS OF PARADISE. The army of Colonel Sharif, fanatics fighting to establish his control of a Middle Eastern emirate. They eventually succeeded in putting Sharif in power, due in part to Cobra's financial support. A small team of Joes fought the Guardians to get a tape containing vital information out of the country. Colonel Sharif's emirate has been engulfed in a civil war against a group wishing to put the Emir back in power.
