ARMADILLO. A small, one-man tank built for high speed and maneuverability. The vehicle, primarily used by the G.I. Joe team, had less powerful armaments then a full-sized tank and was used as a light assault vehicle in areas where anything larger would be inappropriate. It was armed with four 60mm synchronized, variable-range cluster cannons. The Armadillo was first used by the Joes during a battle with Cobra forces at the Arbco Brothers Circus near Staten Island.
