CHRISTINA. A Swedish trawler (fishing boat) based in Karlskrona. The ship was loaned to the G.I. Joe team by the Swedish government so that the Joes could stage a fake undercover rescue mission to recover a downed American submarine in the Baltic Sea. In reality, the mission was a diversion that allowed the Joes to help pick up Captain Bulgakov, a defector from the Soviet navy.
