FERRET. A small, four-wheeled ATV (all-terrain vehicle) used by Cobra. The Ferret can carry a driver and a passenger, and is armed with two laser-seeking "Com-Bat" rockets, a side-mounted 20mm cannon and twin synchronized .50 caliber machine guns.
The G.I. Joe team first encountered a Ferrer being ridden by the Crimson Guard commanders, Tomax and Xamot at the Arbco Brothers Circus (a Cobra front that hid a squad of Crimson Guardsmen). Ferrets were used during a number of Cobra operations including the battle to gain control of the newly-created Cobra Island and the defense of a Terror Drome base in Sierra Gordo. When Cobra secretly took control of the town of Broca Beach, a number of Ferrets were repainted and hidden in plain sight, disguised as parts of a carnival ride. The Joes' short-lived team known as Tiger Force used a vehicle based on the Ferret's design called the Tiger Paw.
