CANNONBALL. The code name used by U.S. Army Corporal John Warden, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Cannonball was rumored to have gotten his nickname from performing as a "human cannonball." After his work test driving trucks, he enlisted in the Army and became an expert vehicle driver. Cannonball worked with the reinstated G.I. Joe team where he drove the R.H.I.N.O. armored vehicle. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Cannonball later participated in the conflict known as World War III.
