EFFECTS. The code name used by U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Aron Beck, born in Fort Worth, Texas. Effects is not only an explosives expert, but can create dazzling special effects to confuse the enemy. He worked with the Star Brigade unit of G.I. Joe before the Joe team shut down in 1994. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Effects was stationed in Turkey during the conflict known as World War III.
