GEARS. The code name used by U.S. Air Force Captain Joseph A. Morrone, born in Westerly, Rhode Island. An ingenius mechanical engineer, Gears worked with the Star Brigade unit of G.I. Joe before the Joe team shut down in 1994. He helped develop the Power Fighter armor used by Star Brigade. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Gears was stationed in Spain during the conflict known as World War III.
