LONG RANGE (Garcia). The code name used by U.S. Army Sergeant Alejandro Garcia, born in Monterrey, Mexico. Long Range was second soldier to use that name as part of G.I. Joe when he worked with the reinstated team. Assigned to drive the Rolling Operations Command Center (ROCC) vehicle, Long Range is a well-read student of philosophy and military history, and applies the lessons he learns to the modern battlefield. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Garcia later took part in the conflict known as World War III.

One of many Joes listed on World War III member assignment map first seen in AE #28.
