SIDESWIPE. The code name used by U.S. Army Sergeant Andrew Frankel, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sideswipe worked as a medical specialist with the reinstated G.I. Joe team, where his hobby of weightlifting helped him to carry injured soldiers off of the battlefield. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. During the conflict known as World War III, Sideswipe was stationed at the Walter Reed Medical Center.
