THUNDERWING. The code name used by U.S. Army Second Lieutenant Spencer D. Crecelius, born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before enlisting, Thunderwing worked as a nightclub bouncer, as well as a heavy equipment operator at construction sites. In the Army, he became a tank commander and was eventually recruited by the reinstated G.I. Joe team. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Thunderwing served the Joe team in the conflict known as World War III.
