DYNAMITE. The code name used by U.S. Army Sergeant Hector J. Garrido, born in Argentina. Garrido is a demolitions expert and chemist who worked with the G.I. Joe team. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Dynamite served in Algeria during the conflict known as World War III.

One of many Joes listed on World War III member assignment map first seen in AE #28.

Dynamite is a character from the short-lived G.I. Joe toy line, Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles. His only appearance is in the single episode of the toy line's cartoon, which was sold on videotape, packaged with an action figure. The episode reveals the Screaming Eagles to be a unit of the G.I. Joe team.
