TANK. The code name used by U.S. Army soldier Dwight M. Prudence. Tank has worked with the G.I. Joe team in the past and today, like many Joes, is a reserve member of the team. Tank served in Algeria during the conflict known as World War III.

One of many Joes listed on World War III member assignment map first seen in AE #28.

Tank is a character from the short-lived G.I. Joe toy line, Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles. His only appearance is in the single episode of the toy line's cartoon, which was sold on videotape, packaged with an action figure. The episode reveals the Screaming Eagles to be a unit of the G.I. Joe team. No Tank action figure was ever produced, but his full name was revealed in the book G.I. Joe vs. Cobra: The Essential Guide.
