INFERNO. The code name used by U.S. Army firefighting specialist Sean L. Brownson. Inferno headed an international firefighting team based in Hawaii prior to working with the reinstated G.I. Joe team. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. Inferno was assigned to domestic operations in the United States during the conflict known as World War III.

One of many Joes listed on World War III member assignment map first seen in AE #28.

Inferno was one of the last figures in the G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 toyline, released in 2007, the year the "Sigma 6" title was removed from the toys, but the figures' larger scale remained the same. His file name was revealed in the book G.I. Joe vs. Cobra: The Essential Guide.
