Summary:  200 miles from Cobra Island, seismic activity continuing to plague the Gulf of Mexico since Cobra Island's creation causes a large, jagged landmass to rise up out of the ocean. A G.I. Joe C-130 arrives above the new island at the same time as a Cobra transport helicopter. The Joes are determined to claim the island to prevent Cobra from making it a second Cobra Island.

Ripcord and Outback lead new recruits Hardball, Hit & Run, Muskrat and Charbroil to the island's highest peak, while Cobra literally drops B.A.T.s out of their helicopter. The Joes easily deal with the android troopers and cause the helicopter to crash. Cobras lead by Dr. Mindbender and Firefly -- both hoping to get back in Cobra Commander's good graces after supporting Serpentor -- attack the Joes' position while their Maggot tanks arrive. The Maggots prove to be useless since their guns cannot elevate high enough to drop artillery on the Joes.

After evading a Mamba attack, a G.I. Joe Tomahawk drops Duke, Rumbler and the Rolling Thunder on the island. The massive vehicle easily turns the tide of battle before the unstable island begins to sink back into the ocean. G.I. Joe and Cobra barely escape as the island disappears below the waves.
