 HARD DRIVE. The code name used by U.S. Army Corporal Martin A. Pidel, born in Yonkers, New York. Skilled at math, science and computer technology from an early age, he hacked into the Defense Ministry computers of a major foreign power by age ten. By the time he graduated M.I.T., Hard Drive held 27 patents and led the wrestling team to two regional championships. Hard Drive served as a battlefield computer specialist for thereinstated G.I. Joe team. Today, like many Joes, he is a reserve member of the team. He was stationed in Russia during the conflict known as World War III.
