Just over ten years ago, JMM's Star Wars Chronology appeared online, and not long after, the e-mailing list that would eventually become the SWFA began. This is the first of a number of updates that we thought would be a good idea to start posting again... New material includes an essay by Abel Peña titled Star Wars vs. Lord of the Rings and two guest articles: the sixth Glove of Darth Vader review by Adrick Tolliver and Into the Unknown, the first part of a discussion about the Unknown Regions by Matthew Trias. Also, we have a unique look at some original art from Marvel comics Star Wars #48, "The Third Law". It's a layout page, which was a detailed sketch by writer Larry Hama that was used to write the story. Carmine Infantino used Hama's layouts as a guide for his artwork in that issue. In addition to those updates, most of the older article pages have been given a facelift, giving them a more uniform look, and in some cases, adding an image or two. |
